Galphi 4K Dash Cam Front Review: Compact 5GHz WiFi Dashcam

Why a Dash Cam Belongs in Every Car

Accidents, near-misses, and parking-lot door dings rarely happen when you're ready for them. When fault is disputed, a clear video record is the difference between a quick insurance payout and a long argument. The Galphi 4K Dash Cam Front is a compact, screen-free camera built to capture that record without cluttering your windshield or pulling your attention off the road.

4K UHD Footage With a 160-Degree View

The headline feature is resolution. This dash cam records in 4K 2160P UHD with a 160-degree wide-angle lens, giving you cinematic-quality footage that covers multiple lanes. For family cars, new drivers, and rideshare drivers on Uber or Lyft, that footage can serve as reliable evidence in accident disputes and insurance claims. Detail matters here: license plates and road signs are far easier to read in 4K than in lower-resolution clips.

Screen-Free Design Keeps You Focused

Many dash cams mount a display right in your line of sight. This one takes the opposite approach. The screen-free design minimizes distraction while you drive, so you can stay focused on the road and trust that the camera is recording. The slim, compact body also means it won't obstruct your view, and the included instructions make installation straightforward even for first-time users.

5GHz WiFi and Fast App Downloads

Getting footage off a dash cam used to be a chore. This model uses 5GHz WiFi with a free companion app, reaching download speeds up to 8MB/s, compared to just 2MB/s on 2.4GHz. In practice, that means shorter waits and less lag when you're reviewing or playing back a clip, which matters most when you need the file quickly.

What's in the Box and What You'll Need

A 32GB memory card is included, so the camera works right out of the box without a separate accessory purchase. If you want more storage, the manufacturer recommends a Class 10, U3, and V30 (or higher) card. Note that 24-hour parking mode requires a Type-C hardwire kit, which is not included, so factor that in if parked-car coverage is a priority for you.
